Our Design Process
You have a dream. It might be making over that one room that has been driving you crazy, or maybe you are ready for a complete home upgrade, or perhaps you are designing a new build and desire a cohesive, luxury, modern feel for the interior of the whole home. Whatever your goal, I want to help you achieve a beautiful, elevated space both functional and stunning.
The first step in the process is our in-home consult to see your home or space. We will talk, take notes, measurements, and photos to help determine the scope and costs of your project. You can provide pictures and ideas from Pinterest, Houzz, and magazines to assist us in understanding the look you want to achieve.
If we feel we are a good fit, you will then sign a Scope of Work and a Design Agreement with an estimated minimum number of design hours for your project as well as pay a deposit on those hours prior to the start of all work.
I will then begin creating professional design boards for your space or home, honing in on the style, colors, textures and feel of the room(s). I can turn these digital boards into a 2D and 3D model so you can see how your space might look.
We will work together to narrow down the perfect selections of everything from custom window treatments, wall coverings, paint, tile, flooring, furniture, rugs, art and more using my exclusive to-the-trade sources. Whether custom, curated or bespoke, all of your purchases will complement and elevate your space. Once ordered, these items will arrive between 4 to 12 weeks so please allow time accordingly.
When your purchases arrive, we will select a day to place or install. All interior work such as custom carpentry, millwork, painting, tile installation and other finishes will be paid for directly to those sub-contractors. All furnishings shall be paid for directly to my designer sources. I will bill you directly for my design hours on a monthly basis.
Once your project is complete, I will arrange professional photography for both our marketing and your lifetime keepsake photo book. The key to the success of any design project is great communication! I am committed to transparent partnerships with my clients from start to finish. My goal is that you will love the final result and that the process is as stress-free as possible.
